  • The Madagascar game is one of my gaming guilty pleasures. It does stay true to the movie but can have flaws with the designs on some of the faces and that it does have some useless characters, especially Wilbur. But at least it can be a solid play. Sure it may seem it doesn't make sense, but this was back in the 2000s and there was the time it would test the gaming styles. The graphics are fine. The story is decent as a promotion to the movie. The platform gameplay is strong. The bosses are, well as few as there are, stand out in this game. And the mini games are the ones players can unlock and enjoy. I know I'm sounding too nice to this game. Like I said, I understand the issues for this. But for what it is, it is a pretty solid play. I know there are people like myself that are nostalgic for this. So maybe this will be for you. But if you feel skeptical over games like this, then maybe it'll be best to stick with the movie. Maybe it's not the best game from the 2000s, but I won't say it's the worst either. In the end, it's quite an enjoyable play.
  • This is the best game of 2005 and I advise everyone to play it, but except for the old people and adults, and thanks for your attention Good Game Ever and DreamWorks Best Game Ever.

An incredibly lackluster 3D platformer that came out during the cream-of-the-crop era of 3D platformers. There are hundreds of games in this genre from the time period that you'd be better off playing.
  • I have never seen a game that has been nearly as difficult to work with as Madagascar from 2005. I have seen glitchy games, but this isn't one of them, it's own core mechanics make it such an infuriating experience that it is truly difficult to describe. All 4 characters have such a floaty control style that it feels like bubsy turned up to 11, and the levels are designed in such a way that it could take players hours in order to properly navigate them. The one thing that isn't an absolute dumpster fire is the story, which just follows the same story from the film it's based off of, it isn't anything special though.

I truly find it difficult to tell you how difficult this game is due to the sheer stupidity of the dev team behind it, if I could give this 0 stars, I absolutely would.
