  • For years I haven't played a game this good! "Destroy All Humans" is an explosively awesome, alien game with good graphics, hilarious voice overs, cool sound effects and fantastic game play! You will play as Cryptosporidium(Or Crypto for short), an alien clone sent to earth to collect DNA from human brain stems to save his kind. Throughout the game you will travel from the fields of Turnipseed Farm, to the busy streets of Capitol City to the scorching deserts of Area 42.

You will fight against different humans, ranging from dim-witted farmers to cocky secret agents. You'll also confront vehicles and artillery such as tanks, AA cannons, robots and Tesla coils.

You can fight with an armament of lethal, futuristic weapons including the zap-o matic, disintigrator gun and ion detonator.

You also have access to a flying saucer armed with more powerful weapons, such as the death ray, abducto beam and sonic boom.

If your weapons don't satisfy, then your telekinesis powers will! Crypto can levitate humans and smash them into the ground or send them flying through the air. As you progress you can purchase upgrades that allow you to throw cars and heavier objects, causing all kinds of mayhem! Overall, Destroy All Humans is a masterpiece and is worth trying for just about anyone.
  • In the game you play as Cryptosporidium 137 (Crypto for short) an alien from a race known as Furons sent to Earth to collect human brain stems which contain pure Furon DNA and to Destroy All Humans! There has been a lot of alien games but Destroy All Humans! has to be the best of them all! This game has everything you go round killing people, flying in a flying saucer, disguising yourself a human, picking up vehicles, humans and animals with Psychokinesis (PK for short) its an awesome game and Destroy All Huamns! 2 is just as good and I love it how Crypto sounds a lot like Jack Nicholson and Pox (his full name is Orthopox) is an great character as well go by the game NOW!

"Destroy All Humans!" is easily THE best PS2 game of 2005. I love all the homages/references to the 1950s (and before) and the alien invasion genre. I have to agree with itgagnet0409 in that there should be more cool weapons, and the Earth v Fly.Sau. idea, but it wasn't a disappointment. Some of the quotes are hilarious and here are some of my favourites: "What are you doing, stumpy?" "Orson Welles was right!" "Anybody ever tell you you look like a grey baby in leather?" "Get back here you alien freak!" "Commies!" "I am NOT green!" And many others (well I find them funny anyway). The characters are all very well designed/voiced and Silhouette (who there should have been more of) was a really great villain. And it was pure genius to make the cops Irish! It was a very enjoyable play (but I wish there had been more missions etc.) and it would be brill to have a sequel that visits major cities. Grant Albrecht did a really good job as Crypto and sounding like Jack Nicholson made it even better. Everyones' thoughts from Silhouette to Farmer Harold Turnipseed were well thought out. (Incidentally, does anyone know what the 'Thought Contest' means in the credits?) Well done Pandemic Studios!
  • Maybe I'm biased because this was one of the first games I've ever owned on the PS2 and it was such a blast to play through, but I thoroughly recommend this game, it is sorely underrated.

Surprisingly there very few pieces of media that cover an alien invasion from the perspective of the invaders, only this and Invader Zim (fans of Invader Zim will recognize the voice of Orthopox 13 as well), and that is so unfortunate because it's such a unique type of story, if you're bored to death of seeing alien invasion films from the humans' perspective and you just want to destroy everything; this is the game for you.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Thanks to the wonderful minds of some well placed imagination, we get a game that allows you to be the villain instead of the hero. Crytptosidion 136 or Crypto for short has been sent to earth to retrieve the Furon DNA from the brain stems of humans.

I must say that the graphics are well done and the comicality in this game is suburb. A well placed game on the shelf, but not the price asked for though. I'll give this a perfect 10 as I haven't placed it down ever since. I hope the ones that made this game make a sequel. Man that would be so cool for a sequel to this game. But it's to early to say at the moment.

    Warning: Spoilers
I totally agree with 'true_to_your_heart'! It is an amazing game and I have the same opinions/queries. In answer to 'bedroom tailscarlet', I just hypnotised the Mayor asleep and then holobobbed his body and went out to talk to the crowd. Hope that's helpful! Also to 'poopymcanus', where did you get ur strategy guide from as I cannot find the rest of the probes in Capitol City or Area 42. Has anyone else had the same problem as me?: I destroyed a house in Santa Modesta and there is a probe in the wreckage but I cannot get it!!! It is extremely frustrating and I have tried every way possible to get into the wreckage but it doesn't work. If you can help please do! To 'star wars fan 77', I'll have to get back to you on that one!
