The Dragon Warrior has to clash against the savage Tai Lung as China's fate hangs in the balance. However, the Dragon Warrior mantle is supposedly mistaken to be bestowed upon an obese panda who is a novice in martial arts.
(At around five minutes) When Po's father gives him noodle soup for the tables, he says that they go to four different numbers: two, five, seven, and twelve. There is a pattern to these numbers: the number added to the previous number equals the next number. For instance, 2+5=7, 5+7=12.
Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend.
Oogway says: "Look at this tree, Shifu. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time." However, the peach tree is both blossoming AND bearing fruit which is impossible for a peach tree. They blossom first and then bear fruit much later in the season.
During the closing credits, the "Kung Fu Fighting" song sung by Jack Black (Po the Panda) and CeeLo Green is playing.
While originally only a 2D release during its 2008 theatrical run, Dreamworks Animation later produced a 3D version. This version was released on Blu-ray in 2011 to coincide with the home video release of Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011).
