Clément Mégé's recurring character 'Calino' appears in yet another short film from Jean Durand, entitled "Calino, Station Master". For no apparent reason, the idiot Calino has been made head of the local train station. Given that he's not only an idiot but knows nothing about trains, he makes a huge mess of it. Unfortunately, none of this is particularly funny. Yes, the train station is screwed up but none of these problems made me smile or laugh. Additionally, it's not a particularly well constructed film with some edits that are not especially well done and even for 1912 the film probably wasn't especially good or noteworthy. Durand made many better films and you can see them in "Gaumont Treasures Volume 2".
