    Warning: Spoilers
There have now been three series of this documentary like show, and every time the kids are worse and worse. The first series started in the camp sites with some terrible tear-aways, including the stupid Fran. The second series was just as bad set in the American Stable Farm. The latest series had just girls going, and trust me, girls are worse than boys, and not just in this. Basically every series they bring about ten horrible teenage children to America and send them to a professional brat camp to turn them from bad kids to good kids. It takes a long time, but they all learn their lessons eventually. It was number 36 on The 100 Greatest TV Treats 2004, when it started. Very good!
  • I have just seen the pilot in Canada and I'm ready to see the next kid. It's reality about messed up kids being given a chance to make things right. Not all parents are perfect and some people see this camp as punishing kids, but they need to be diciplined. This isn't abuse. They are being sheltered, clothed, and fed appropirate healthy food. They are surrounded with trained survivalists and people able to help them. In a way these kids need to de-tox from the bad path each of them are on before the end up in prison or worse. This show is the reality upon the fictional series "Neon Rider" and "Higher Ground" is based. Both are about kids who are messed up and need to rough it to get clean. I look forward to the next episode.

    Warning: Spoilers
I only watched a couple episodes of this show, because I just couldn't take it anymore. They find kids who have serious problems, like drug addictions and abuse-induced trauma and treat them like criminals, tricking them out into the desert for up to 90 days where they force them to carry heavy packs, and attempt to brainwash them into "good" kids. It's appalling, and what really makes me angry is how much people seem to like it. That people consider legalized child abuse to be entertaining says a lot about this country. These kid's parents were negligent, and yet it's the kids themselves who's clothes are locked up at night to prevent escape. A truly horrible show, I really hope it's cancelled and the filmmakers are sued.

I really like this show, and think its a great solution for the parents of troubled teenager's, it was interesting to watch, and still...

I think the program was way to harsh, in a way they kinda deserved it, but sometimes this was just boarding on torture, I think. for example not even allowing these kids to sleep on a Madras, or have a pillow, the first nights they were at the camp, hallo! you can ruin your back by sleeping on the hard floor, is that what these peoples intentions were! and also making each of them sit in there own little stone-circle with a tent for several days, not allowed to lay down or leave it for just two seconds, unless they had to go to the bathroom. and I remember when one of the teenager's forgot to put her gloves away, the chief made her walk around the camp yelling "I will learn to put my gloves back, I will learn to put my gloves back!" over and over again. plus taking them out in the dessert to walk all day long, and making them carry heavy backpacks at the same time.

I just think the program is a little over the top, but maybe thats what it takes:o)
