Bob Munro and his dysfunctional family rent an RV for a road trip to the Colorado Rockies, where they ultimately have to contend with a bizarre community of campers.
The "Happy Max" horn on the Gornicke's RV plays a portion of the theme from Star Trek (1966).
I'm gonna' lose my job. Hope the kids like selling fruit on the freeway... I'm gonna' be unemployed. I'm gonna' have to sell my liver for cash.
When the RV is behind the slow tractor, the faraway shot shows that there is a large line of cars behind it. But in the next shot of inside the RV, there is not line of cars, just plain country side.
The Gornickes and the Munroes sing (and rap) "Route 66".
