  • Just saw this on the TREKKIES 2 DVD and... it's curiously awful. The production itself is superior to what we usually see in a fan film, so shouldn't it be good? No. What this movie has to do with Star Trek besides the uniforms went over my head. The "actors" are obviously fans, and I'll just leave it at that. So why are Starfleet officers shooting and killing humans in the Old West to rescue their captain? This is incongruous with Star Trek's outlook. This lame film is merely an exercise in gore and testosterone with a bunch of 40-somethings. It's a real shame that the obvious budget and technical expertise was wasted.
  • I think any reasonably social Star Trek fan (something more common now with the internet) knows a few other fans who don't quite get it. Sure, they've seen every episode at least twice, own every version of every movie as well as a few too many "technical manuals", but they would be hard-pressed to write a story of their own; not just for lack of writing talent, but for lack of any understanding of what Star Trek is about. This movie doesn't "get it" at all, and is worse than the worst of Enterprise. It at once abandons any semblance of a "Star Trek" story or message as well as any message or concept of its own. If the 300 pound man with Vulcan ears isn't enough to tell you the creators are on the wrong track, the ending will slap you in the face worse than any cinematic prank ever pulled by David Lynch. Not that this movie is as creative as David Lynch, but it will give you a similar sense of betrayal and wasted time.
  • After watching this short movie, I was in full on tears, because I was laughing so hard. This film, although very silly, is perfected from the obvious use of ultimate Star Trek fans. I have showed this movie to nearly 20 different people and we have all had the same reaction, this movie is great.

Also, the last review written on this title was clearly someone who does not get goofy comedy. Has he ever seen Austin Powers or Land of the Lost? These movies clearly make fun, and are yet very successful. This movie is a smaller verison of these great films, and I cannot wait to see what Mr. Dellis does next! A+
