There are two versions of the film. The original version was first completed in 1996 and was mastered in black and white. Filmmaker John Trujillo started shooting the film in 1994 and throughout the next two years financed the entire project himself. At one point he used money he received from unemployment. The second version was completed in 2003 and features 3 additional scenes, an entirely new music score and a 15 song CD soundtrack of music inspired by the film. The color was restored and the film was remastered digitally. Shot on two different video formats both versions of the film cost under $6000 to produce.
