One Missed Call 2 (2005) Poster

A Japanese restaurant cook/owner dies after answering his daughter's cellphone. Other people are getting strange, same ringtone calls as well and dying painfully. It happened in Taiwan as well. Can the police stop it if it's a ghost?

Wow, a really good sequel. I accidentally watched this before the first movie and really enjoyed it (thought it was the first movie until I read the credits and saw it was a sequel). I love J-Horror as it often revolves around urban legends, which this series does really well. The special effects are excellent and the movie is engaging from start to end (even liked the opening and ending credits). For some reason, this movie kinda reminds me of 'Saw' and 'Ghost Train' (as well as 'The Ring' of course). Though this series is said to be done in the style of 'Ringu' and 'The Grudge', I feel that it beats its predecessors. Highly recommend this.
