After being wrongfully imprisoned for thirteen years and having her child taken away from her, a woman seeks revenge through increasingly cruel and brutal means.
Several actors on this film, specially the ones portraying the relatives of the dead children, also appeared on Boksuneun naui geot (2002) and/or Oldboy (2003), the previous parts of the Vengeance Trilogy.
Listen carefully. Everyone make mistakes. But if you committed a sin, you have to make an atonement for that sin. Atonement, do you know what that means? Big Atonement for big sins. Small Atonement for small sins.
Towards the end of the film, when Geum-ja Lee is cutting Mr. Baek's hair on the floor, the bandage on her finger slips showing the part of her finger where she cut it and, presumably, where it was sewn back on. There is no scar.
