  • this series is so much better than ninja storm

The Rangers are Cool, The Zords are Not Half Bad, The Battlizer of this Series is Awesome and the Plot was not very Bad It's Like Harry Potter with Zords and Rangers

The Villains of this series are great, the main villain octomus the master is one strong villain

The Best Episodes of Mystic Force are Koragg's Trial, Dark Wish, Parts 1-3, Heir Apparent, Parts 1 and 2 and The Hunter

schizophrenic finale, "Mystic Fate", Parts 1 and 2. I'd say the only great moments were Nick's brief turn to the darkness as Koragg #2 and the final moment where all the rangers, Solaris Knight and Leanbow join forces. But there's nothing really special about it but still a Good Season Finale.

But it's a shame that there's no Mystic Force and SPD Team Up But Piggy Made a Cameo in the Ranger Down Episode

Not Bad as what any fans think But its Still Better than the American Dragon Jake Long Cartoon Series and The Original Ben 10
  • This is my first review, for a show that's been on for awhile, but I'm bored.

Anyways, this season is a very mixed one. So far, many people say that this is one of the worst. I beg to differ. It starts out very slow. The theme is rap, which I don't believe, but whatever. It's OK, but compared to others, not to good, but still enjoyable.

Taking place in New Zealand does not ruin anything except for a couple accents, but not that it matters.

I would NOT say this is one of the worst, it's very enjoyable, if you continue to watch. Kind of like Jungle Fury, RPM or Dino Thunder, in my opinion. The capes... don't do it for me. They don't fit but it's just a nitpick. The acting it, average for Power Rangers. The story is also average. Practically everything else is average about this series.

I do like the concept of magical and mystical things. It's also not executed badly, but not great.

So I would recommend it, but not for hardcore PR fans or People who I guess don't like magical things. Overall, it's a very enjoyable season.
  • Why simply because of the characters that appear in this one it had a story and good mystic vibe to it.
  • just watched the promo for the second time and it was pretty cool. this is by far the weirdest generation of power rangers so far. I'm happy to see that udonna's character is nothing like princess sheyla's from wildforce! they aren't sparing any change when it comes to effects. all though the last two seasons have had their moments of looking quite nice, this one so far has been pretty action packed. and as for a favorite season it's pretty hard to say... Loved In space, Dinothunder was the most character driven, and SPD Had a lot of cool effects and costumes although the dialogue was a little stale. i've seen every episode of power rangers in the last 14 years.... and I"m 26 years old!!! I know it seems ridiculous but I'm training to animate cartoons and kid TV is great research material. plus I just love the show. I've got a full size original wildforce red ranger in my living room! if anyone's looking for a my-space buddy look up (red on the inside) at area code 22901.
  • When I first heard about this show and it's storyline involving magic, I was horrified. Magic always ruins a show like this. But later when I saw the commercials for the show I went way beyond horrified and began digging my own grave.

Still, I decided every show deserves a chance and caught the first episode and am I glad that I did. This show is way better than I had expected. The stories, characters and the action are all great. Not only that but this show is also a comedy.

I still wish that the people who make these shows would keep characters from previous seasons or at least some of the characters so that viewers have more confidence in the new shows. I would be great to have that feeling that I felt during the "MMPR" through "In Space" back again. The though the Space Rangers where not the originals, they were in TURBO which allowed us to get to know them and have more reason to watch "In Space". Bridge should have been the Red Mystic Ranger, but hey, that's just my opinion.

All in all this is a great show and deserves a look from any Power Rangers fan.
  • Back in 2006, we just shifted to our new house which was near to my school. Unfortunately I found that, Jetix was not available in our cable network! I asked my parents about this issue, but they failed to bring it back! I cried so many times, as because I couldn't watch my favorite Power Ranger seasons, specially Mystic Force! That made me really very upset and sad!

But you know what? Recently I just watched all of the 32 episodes of Mystic Force without any break! That was really very satisfying! I was thrilled as like as my childhood! Ah!

I am a big fan of power ranger series. But I am a crazy fan of this season. I really love this season very very much! The story line was amazingly mind-boggling!

When I first watched this season on Jetix, I was a little kid! But still I enjoy watching this season! It makes me crazy!

I WANT ANOTHER NEW SEASON OF POWER RANGER MYSTIC FORCE!!! Please do a 2nd season! Please!

This Power Rangers series wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.

All the same, it was worth a look. I have to do reviews on all movies and shows... no matter how bad the incarnation, so here it goes.

As far as I go, this series had its moments, but at the same time, it did peter out in some areas.

Allow me to explain: there was no team-up and a lot of the plot was somewhat confusing, but at least (most of the time) they kept the comedy and the action separate unlike last year's SPD.

For the most part, I did like this, but the episodes in the middle were a bit frustrating.

And now for the verdict: I give this a 6 out of 10.
  • I can't believe that PRMF has come and destroyed all of the progress made by the 3 previous versions. The characters are as deep as a puddle(Madison the deep thinker that makes videos of everyone), the plot(ploy) is lame and completely unbelievable(I know that sounds ridiculous as it is the Power Rangers but come on) and the acting is POOR(Chip anyone). Showgirls was acted better than this! Even my four-year-old son can't get into this the way he did SPD, Dino Thunder or Ninja Storm.

It's painful to watch a full episode and when I am able to tolerate the pain, I usually fall asleep due to lack of interest. I cannot connect with any of the characters. I wouldn't care if they got stripped of their powers like Udonna did. I wouldn't care if they lost the battle between good and evil. I just wouldn't care!

I feel that there could have been a lot of potential but like a really good-looking man with erectile dysfunction, it comes up short.

Why would Disney destroy something that was developing so very well? Did the budget get reduced? Were there no quality actors in New Zealand? Did you employ family and friends that you owed favors to? What happened?

To all you that said Ninja Storm was weak and sucked, you've now seen what it is to truly suck.

    I'm very disappointed.

    Please let it get better!
  • Not only have I seen this particular episode, I have watched every Power Rangers Mystic Force episode with my children. My son loves Power Rangers and watches many of the various series. I have read the other comment to the movie, and in my opinion, it's silly. Power Rangers has one very basic goal--to teach children the importance of working together as a team. THAT has been the very core of each Power Rangers entity. Mystic Force is just a continuation of that lesson. Each Ranger must learn to rely on the others in times of need, and step forth with their own strengths when needed. It is a valuable lesson for all children. Not only does Mystic Force stress that importance, it also brings forth another valuable lesson from this very first episode. This episode shows children that when they believe in themselves, anything is possible. That is a lesson that we should all strive to teach our kids. My kids are completely enamored with the martial arts scenes as they don't bother to critique their moves. They simply see that Mystic Force is fast paced, colorful, and magical. The scenery and effects are often breathtaking. The story lines are interesting, and the dialogue is probably the best I've seen in a Power Rangers series. Bottom line is that kids love Power Rangers because they are Power Rangers! They aren't worried about whether they have martial arts training or dance training. All they see are moral, strong role models fighting for good in the face of all opposition. I highly recommend this series for kids that love Power Rangers. And for adults how are willing to let go of their practicalities and just enjoy a fun show without analyzing it to death.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I too, do believe that I am a bit old to be watching Power Rangers but it's hard to ignore the series as the creators continue to explore the other Sentai sagas. Let's face it, there will never be and can never be a better Power Rangers season than the old' school, "Mighty Morphin", but since Mystic Force does appeal to my admiration for magic/fantasy themes, I gotta give it up for this one. Even though the special effects are way too computerized (in my opinion) lacking the somewhat realism of "Mighty Morphin" I still gotta hang with my Rangers, old and new 'til the day I die.

What's even more cool is the fact that Nick can temporarily ride Catastros at certain times adds a bit of mystery to his role as the Red Ranger, which gives me all the more reason to enjoy the classic role that leaders in kid TV shows play. For example: everyone depends on Goku or is amazed at the feats of strength he performs constantly to save the day.

I am also quite curious as to the origins of "The Master" and Koragg. Just how deadly is this "Master" and could it be possible that Koragg is another Ranger?? Also, I do hope Clare becomes the powerful sorceress that she once was as "The Gatekeeper" and Udonna retrieves her White Ranger powers. If all my wishes come true, it'll be a full squad of Rangers in upcoming episodes! Heh, you never know and although I do have the internet at my disposal, I'd prefer to wait and be surprised at what happens next rather than knowing about everything ahead of time.

Finally the series is unique in humor with silly side jokes and utter slap stick (or is it schtick?) comedy.

    Warning: Spoilers
I must say I was so saddened by this series. I've been a fan of Power Rangers ever since the very beginning and would never miss an episode. I even recorded a lot of them and enjoy sitting and re-watching the older ones. Before I saw this new series I got the Sentai version and sat and watched the entire series, around 50 episodes counting the movie and special, and LOVED it and thought this'll make a great basis for a new Power Ranger series. When the show premiered.. I felt sick to my stomach from the opening until the ending. THe characters were wrong, everything was just wrong.

For instance, in the sentai version when MagiMother got defeated by Wolzard she didn't just loose her wand, she DIED. In the US series, oh our kids are too sensitive to see someone die so they used the exact same footage to just say Udonna got defeated by Knight Wolf and lost her powers. I mean come on, it's not like they showed her beaten and bloody or something, they used the same footage.. just a different explanation. THey've always done this, but this is the first sentai I saw before the PR series, and I was seriously sickened. If you're a fan of the original PR (with Jason and Tommy and the rest) then I'd recommend buying the Sentai DVDs from Japan and forgetting this series.

Though it is okay for kids, it's just so watered down and weak next to the sentai. For me, the only good part about it is that some of the figures/mecha are released here and it's cheaper than buying it from JP. At least the toys they didn't totally ruin.

I thought this was fantastic. i have been a fan for quite some time, following all of the seasons. i think that this is one of the better ones. it involves magic and sorcery. i think that many will like this. You have the leader who wants to be a non-believer in magic, but soons changes his mind. you got a sorcerer's apprentice, whose magic is crazy, and you got a leader with a secret past, not to mention that Udonna and one of the bad guys think that the other looks familiar. what's not to love? i think that n e one who doesn't like this is out of their mind. besides, wild force, Dino thunder, ninja storm, and the first season, this is one of my favorites, better then most of the others.
  • Cruiser19902 September 2007
okay so the storyline is pretty generic, good guys fight bad guy bad guy turns good and all is saved. but thats not the what i really tend to notice now, one of the main villains Koragg is basically a purple armoured bad ranger, the first thing you notice when looking at him is the beauty of his ranger form, easily more effort than ever before has been put into designing the new ranger outfit. so i give praise to the costume designers, however, as far as it goes, this season of power rangers is, well lets face it, ridiculous, a steam train Zord, a feline genie, prince rangers and a villain with a piranha for a head is beginning to push it when the villain is a main character in the plot, more freaky than fearsome, one thing that got me was that PR SPD featured something that no other season did, the made the Zords much more mobile (including: tech rolls, dives, leaps) all of which looked great and yet they took this away in mystic force, shame really. a slight let down but the armour easily puts a great spin on things

    Warning: Spoilers
One of the worst power rangers series ever made. It wasn't the "magic" that ruined the season but the characters and the filler episodes.Udonna has lost her son named Bowen and she finds out that nick is her son she still calls he him Bowen.SERIOUSLY, is she crazy?that guy is called nick now end of story. As for nick, he wasn't a good ranger, a good leader not at all.In fact he was one of the worst, in the last episode he gives up until Madison yells at him.SO he has to be yelled in order to be a good leader?I really don't know what nicks character was supposed to be, however it turned out kind of rude.

There was also an episode which had many snakes that did not make it to watch, I also hated that there was no interaction between Madison and nick in the whole series and in the last few mins there it is!Don't get me wrong even if nick wasn't my favourite character I wanted them as a couple but it just did not fit there should have been more scenes with those two.Plus Nick does not give Madison a clear answer as he should have since she was clear enough about her feelings. I enjoyed all the other characters and I have to admit that the suits and the megazords were fascinating

However this season takes the credit for the last scene which I have to admit its pretty good (despite the facts I was referred earlier)the only thing worth watching in the entire season.

so there are 2/10 for the characters 1/10 for the last scene and 1/10 for the suits and the megazords TOTAL 4/10 Too bad...
  • Not really a huge fan of Power Rangers Mystic Force, honestly. I mean, yeah, there are some good things to like about this season such as the characters of Xander, Vida, Madison, Chip and Claire and there are actually some good episodes like "Strangers Within", "The Gatekeeper" and most notably, the "Dark Wish" trilogy. But, I'm sorry. I just don't like what kind of a direction this season was going for back then. I can't take Mystic Force as a season seriously, if it cares so very little about focusing on its' main characters that are ironically, the most interesting parts of the season, in favor of the least interesting characters such as Leelee Pimvare and Jenji. And the whole "red ranger" centric arc thing was far too predictable, in my opinion. But, I digress. If you liked this season, more credit to you. Me?! I'll probably stick with Magiranger or Kamen Rider Wizard, instead.

    Final analysis..."6 out of 10".
  • While the CGI didn't aged well (because it's obviously from the 2000s) but it still holds up. I'm not into magic fantasy but I'm into this (not as much as Dino Thunder or Time Force). I grew up on this show so the nostalgia was over the roof when I was watching it. The story is good and characters are decent but my problem with one of the characters is Nick because he act selfish at times but he learns more throughout the show. This is my fourth favorite Power Ranger season

    Hmmm
    Warning: Spoilers
As someone who grew up on the original rangers and lost interest after Space, I've always been a bit wary of new series. Dino Thunder to this point is about the only one I have a love for and takes me back to being a little five year old girl glued to the TV every time Mighty Morphin was on.

But my daughter has taken after her mother and found a love for power rangers so I've been watching Power rangers S.P.D, Dino and wild force over and over...then they started showing Mystic force and I have to say, I have mixed feelings on it.

I like the general story line within the show, the effects and acting, for power ranger standards where quite impressive (still room for improvement though).

HOWEVER, I'm sorry, but making them warlocks? I mean yes, power rangers have powers, but they're not rangers, they are more kick ass Buffy's and having an episode where Veda turned into a vampire just added to the silliness! Also I know in the Japanese version the Yellow is said to be a male for most of them (hence why yellow is often seen without a skirt in most series) but making a female Blue and a boy Yellow? Talk about taking away EVERYTHING that links them to the Original rangers. After a few episodes I just completely lost interest and began to do housework or other things while my daughter was glued to it.

Over all if you, like me, loved your original Power rangers and like your Power rangers true to their roots then I suggest you avoid this series, there's NOTHING, not one thing that is like the original (except the costumes and the fact they have zords). However, if your not fussy, or never seen the original rangers (and if you haven't...you should!) and just watch power rangers for the sake of seeing a group of teenagers kick some ugly butt after school or whatever, then it's great! But me...I stay true to Jason, Kimberly, Trinie, Zac, Billy and Tommy and the roots of the Original series. BACK TO ACTION!
  • This is my seventh favorite entry in the Power Ranger franchise. It's also one that's under the radar as this is one that doesn't really get talked about that much and has been forgotten. Once again the franchise gets into fantasy, I do like the story/plotline it's kind of "Power Rangers" doing "Once Upon an Time" well sort of but some of the format of it is similar on the fantasy realm and reality realm coming together, as well as the use of new main villains entering on part of the season. Strangely I also can't help but think this is part of what the final season of "Once Upon a Time" should have been but failed.

I really like the production value; the costumes are interesting looking as they have capes which makes sense as their magicians. Though as usual it's those helmet that impress me the most, really like how each visor represents the type of magic they weld. The weapons are cool also, they are armed with magic staffs, but they also double as axes as there is a double blade in one end of the staff which makes it both a magical and practical weapon.

The action is very good as usual, this show surprising has some of the best battles from the franchises I've seen as some of them are just well choreographed. Like the visual and practical effects from the zords which are all uniquely designed and have the usual cool combinations. But I really like the magic effects and seeing them use magic against the monsters.

I like that here instead of just one main villain, you get three main villains whom come at different parts of the show which I think is cool because it keeps the show fresh and actually did help in advancing the intrical plotline. Even like how the plotlines develop and there are some twists in them, well they might not be much of a twist as you might be able to easily predict what will happen ten or twenty feet away; though that could just be me as I've seen my share of cliffhangers in a show. But that didn't make it any less intriguing as you could say it's still suspenseful as we have yet to see the reveal.

But I also like the concept itself which in a way predates the TV show "Once Upon a Time" on having the fantasy world correlate with our modern-day reality. I always thought that was cool as that was something rarely done in the fantasy genre at the time. Music is solid, the theme has sort of a hip hop style to it, which I don't mind it was something a little different and fun to listen to.

Characters are pretty good even some of the supporting characters who are well rounded and developed which rarely happens in "Power Rangers" and in any show at the time.

Three I like are Nick who is the Red Ranger and another of my favorite Red Rangers, like most has the qualities of a leader. However, what really makes him stand out for me is he has this ongoing storyline with him that intriguingly develops.

Xander Bly the Green Ranger he's another of my favorite Green Rangers, like the actor that plays him he sort of looks like James Franco when he was that age (James Franco in a Power Rangers show that would have been something). He's my favorite character in the show as he's pretty much true to his last name as Bly rhymes with Sly.

I like that he's kind of cool but a bit of a dork at the same time as he's always trying to be a smooth talker but is overconfident which is why most of the time whenever he tries to open up negotiations or talk his way out of something he always falls flat. However, he constantly does this as practice because he's a guy with big dreams of being a manager of a business, maybe even one of his own somewhere along the line.

But I like that he doesn't let that ambition become a selfish one as he really does care about his friends and does what he has to help them, after all every manager needs happy customers and most importantly good employees and friends to do good business.

Chip Torn the Yellow Ranger another one of my favorite Yellow Rangers and another of the male ones. The actor that plays him is solid as well sort of looks a bit like singer Rick Ashley (I said a bit, has the same hairstyle and color). His character is interesting as he's sort of a fantasy enthusiast but also childlike as he's still into certain things not exactly grown up like in one episode, he mentions having a cape.

His character is sort of on the ill confidant side as he's can be a little frightful sometimes. Though I feel that sort of what makes him human because when you think about how confidant would you react if you ever saw a monster about to attack you. But what I like about him is despite this, he has the will to fight on because he knows it will never go away unless he and the others vanquish it.

Even supporting characters as actually have development themselves which is interesting as it's never really been done in the show. Supporting character in the franchise in fact in most shows are two dimensional characters we see and hear but never entirely know, and sometimes are just simply by their nature background ornaments to fill empty space; this make the characters on both counts non-essential to the story.

Here in this show it's not the case, as we see each of the supporting characters are actually three dimensional and actually are essential to the story as they contribute something to the ongoing plotline.

Even like how some of them consist of alumni that were in a previous series or go on to another series afterward. Like John Tui whom of course was Kruger from "Power Rangers S.P.D." Then there's Antonia Prebble whom was in an episode or two of "Power Rangers Dino Thunder". Holly Shanahan who would afterward go on to be in "Power Rangers Jungle Fury" as Camille, she is most surprising here as she looks even sounds radically different in this show, didn't even know it was the same actress.

I'll describe a couple of supporting characters I really like. Toby is fun, just like Ernie in the original "Power Rangers" he's sort of the Earth Father figure. He's the kind of boss that we wish we had or should have more of. He's a person that owns and runs a music store which is cool, I like music stores and these days their almost hard to come by which makes seeing this store all the more special. What I like is that the guy is kind of cool but he's a bit of a dork at the same time as he's not very smooth. I like that he a person that wants to have a good time and everyone else around him, and that he's also spontaneous just loves and isn't afraid of trying new things out which I can emphasize with as I do that myself.

Dargon, his character I know is sort of a subordinate villain but he's a rather interesting one as he's doesn't seem like a villain at all but more like someone that is just fighting for the wrong team. Like the design of his character which is cool as he's designed as a knight. Really like how he believes in honor and despite his plight in destroying the Rangers and helping the evil organization he works. There is also ongoing development with him just like his motives he's enigmatic but the enigma begins to clear up as the show goes on.

Though this show does miscast a spell or two; my main problem with it is that it has a balancing issue. The focus and even development of the supporting characters is one of the shows strengths but is also a weakness at the same time as this sometimes makes the Rangers themselves into second string characters. Don't get me wrong I like it when supporting characters sometimes take center stage to show the main characters are the only ones that live in their world, but this show is called "Power Rangers Mystic Force" so it's still the Power Rangers show.

Also, if there is one character I could of done without is Clare (Antonia Prebble). I know she's sort of like who Alpha is to Zordon but I honest didn't care about her let alone she wasn't very useful, she's one of those characters that were just there to fill empty space in. There is this ongoing plotline of her as a sorcerer's apprentice but that really didn't do much for the show and wasn't interesting. It's a fantasy plotline I've seen done in dozens of other fantasy stories but better and actually interesting.

Overall, this is a solid volume in the franchise that like any spell in a spell book is worth a look.

Rating: 3 and a half stars
  • Power Rangers Mystic Force is one of those seasons of a TV show you either love or hate there is not in between.

Now I'm not saying this is the worse of the Power Rangers it just not one I would consider the greatest either it is just again love hate

However there were some good moments from the series that made it worth watching. They did make some interesting character development between the Rangers and the villains each giving time to grow

There was some dark story lines just not one the same level as the other Ranger series.

The Zords were the best part of the series and the Megazord is one of the coolest of the Power Rangers series and it is enough to watch Mystic Force also there were some good side characters to help the Rangers.

It's just I didn't care for this team of Rangers while they each had something to make them worth while on the show also the series features one of the worse theme songs I ever heard Power Rangers or otherwise.

Now I'm not saying this is a real terrible series no no I just didn't consider it to be one of the strongest of the Power Rangers if you're a real fan you will enjoy it for others it's just one of those you either love or won't
  • I felt that this series of the power rangers was much better than most of the other series. That is because I love movies involving magic, but if you don't like movies about magic than this is probably not going to be something that you will like unless you are willing to give it a chance. I felt that this was like a fantasy. I mean I truly wished that all that was real. I felt like it increased my imagination. You would probably think that it is just a children's TV show, but even my father has seen it a couple of times and enjoyed it. Think about it how cool would it be if you could control water, wind, lightning, snow, earth, fire, or even be a night, but if you want to know whether you will like it then you must answer yes to this. Do you believe in magic?????
  • I think this is the best power rangers series shortly followed by the wild force rangers.there is so much magic in here. it pleases me and my 7 year old niece.it is filled with all sorts of twits and turns. the actors in it are very good. it is joyful to watch. my fave ones are red force ranger and yellow force ranger as well as ordonna and solerious knight. enjoyable for every one to watch. the wild force rangers are next best to mystic force rangers. carry on it is great. some of the actors are quite young but still very good. i am also amazed that it seems always to be the red force ranger who is the leader it was in wild force rangers as well.i wronder why this is.
  • I have been a Power Rangers fan off and on for the past 13 years. Over those 13 years the Power Rangers have gone from cultural phenomena to cult classic and has had its ups and downs in quality. This time around it has bottomed out when it comes to quality. This is with out a doubt in my mind the worst ranger series in memory. The acting is terrible, even for a children's show, the storyline is weak at best, and the characters are laughable attempts at rehashing some of the great characters of old, namely Bridge. Some basic problems: 1) Constant breaks in accent with Chip and Madison (Is what you get when you go for local over quality) 2) What's with the Harry Potter getup? Are they trying to get sued by JK Rowling? 3) Again with the reluctant Red Ranger. Since pinky didn't like her colour, why not make her the reluctant ranger 4) A sixth ranger at the beginning, and the bad guy turned good storyline starting so soon. WTH 5) A regression to the 1993 to 1996 cheese ball PR series, instead of continuing with the growth and maturity that PR received over the years with the seriousness of In Space, Time Force et al. Disney has failed to live up to its commitment it should fell towards the fans of the show. The failure to produce any sizable DVD collection, the failure to grow the show, the failure to compete any sizable resources to the show and the failure to use quality actors have all been shortcomings of the Rangers series since Disney took over. Disney has screwed up far to many things, and now they are screwing up the much beloved Power Rangers.
  • jrandlori22 May 2006
By far this is the best series since MMPR. Everyone in my home is hooked on the show. The characters and story lines are excellent. I especially love the whole Udonna, Nick, Koragg angle. It is a bit obvious that Nick is the son of Udonna and Koragg, and that Koragg was once the Red Wizard but hey it's all good. I can't say enough about this show. I will definitely buy any DVD releases that come out!!

Please don't take me as harsh with this next paragraph.....

Everyone has their right to their own opinion but I have to say if you don't like the show don't try and ruin it for the people who do, JUST DON'T WATCH IT (Read the post "Blasphemy" by tromso2014 if you wanna see someone nitpicking and a bit cruel). That is the lovely thing about America and cable you have the right not to watch it and Jetix plays every single generation. I mean if you have actually watched it and don't like it cool and you have the right to express your opinion about it. If you haven't even seen it and are dogging it, that's not cool and you should reserve your opinion until you do.

    Warning: Spoilers
Mystic Force is a new approach to power rangers. It is good, but you can tell there somewhat experimenting. I've watched every season so far and can say that mystic force is pretty good. There are some things that are a little too over the top ,but the plot is very well done and I believe it will do well.

The basic story line is the same as the others there's an evil ,the rangers need to team up and save the day. The thing that makes Mystic Force different is that the theme is magic not weapons. They have more concern for there powers than there fighting which is a nice change.

The characters are pretty well developed and have under plots that you wouldn't notice if you only watch one or two episodes. Such as nick's (Red ranger)mysterious past that seems important to the plot. I suggest everyone who likes power Rangers to give mystic force a chance.

Power Rangers was originally a karate (gongfu/kungfu) based series. The actors were clearly drawn from either gymnasts or martial arts disciplines. Over time, however, they've depended less and less on martial arts and phyiscal stunt choreography more and more on special effects. This series looks like the next step in this wrong direction. Maybe things will get better, as it was only the first, introductory episode. But I don't have much hope, as they seem to be using actors with little or no martial arts skill at all. In fact, at least 3 of the actors seem to be dancers. That provides flexibility and body control to do some martial arts-like moves, I guess, but they don't seem to give them the chance. And the morphing sequence is ridiculously long. It takes nearly 30 seconds per Ranger. What are the bad guys gonna do while 2.5 minutes pass? Just sit there and play gin rummy?

Maybe it's a little early to know for sure, but it seems like the worst Power Rangers group ever.
