Taking a look at the notes in Arrows collection of shorts by the film maker,I was interested to find that it featured the last ever short he made, leading to me entering the infernal.

    View on the film:

The first short film had made since 1979, writer/directing auteur Walerian Borowczyk brings recurring themes and motifs of his live action works into his final animated short, with the fantastical surreal angel and demon lapping at Boro's distinctive grotesque erotic mood,as red flames of paper flicker over the desires of the angel.

    *** (out of 4)

Here's another bizarre short from Walerian Borowczky. This one here deals with a female angel who dares to question the "higher ups" because she enjoys what sin has to offer. This six-minute animated piece takes place in both Heaven and Hell and if you're a fan of the director then I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. We're introduced to a variety of characters, all sinners, but the main person is of course the angel and her desires. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking about this short but at the same time it's certainly a lot of fun. The director brings his surreal touch to the material and there's no question that the animation itself is quite good, if a bit standard.
