On his latest expedition, Dr. Rick Marshall is sucked into a space-time vortex alongside his research assistant and a redneck survivalist. In this alternate universe, the trio make friends with a primate named Chaka, their only ally in a world full of dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures.
Kathy Coleman and Wesley Eure (who played the original show Land of the Lost (1974)'s Holly and Will) shot a cameo, but it was cut when the ending was changed.
Astronaut:
Mission Control, come in. Mission Control, do you read?
Just before the Allosaurus shows up, we see a closeup of Holly's video camera. She is supposedly recording the dinosaurs eating out of the ice cream truck, yet the LCD screen is completely off and so is the "recording" light (both of which would be very visible on a Handycam).
Halfway through the credits there is an additional scene showing a brought back dinosaur egg hatching to reveal a baby Sleestak.
