Vibranium is a fictional element in the Marvel universe that comes from the country of Wakanda, the land where The Black Panther, another Marvel superhero, lives. Before starring in Black Panther (2018), Black Panther made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War (2016), where he is the only one who can damage Steve's shield, since his Panther suit is also made from vibranium.
