Steve Rogers, a rejected military soldier transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a war monger and a terrorist organization.
This film features one of four Doctor Who stars to have a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Toby Jones appears in this, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) (as well as Doctor Who (2005)), while Karen Gillan and Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)), and Christopher Eccleston (Thor: The Dark World (2013)) all played various characters in the Doctor Who series.

(at around 1h 18 mins) Some have taken issue when Captain America is presented with his second shield, he is told that it is vibration-proof. Instead he is told that it is "totally vibration absorbent" therefore absorbing the vibration of incoming projectiles and not even allowing them to ricochet.
"The Star-Spangled Man", the wartime inspirational song Captain America performs, is heard in the closing credits.
