A soldier says some mildly lewd things to a female officer. Not overly crude but with sexual innuendo. She punches him in the face.

A shirtless man undergoes an experiment that gives him bulging muscles.

A group of men are shown in boxer shorts while lined up to receive physical examinations to join the military.

An ongoing joke involves a character mistakingly thinking that the French word fondu carries a sexual connotation.

Some sexually suggestive dialog.

Because he is a soldier, Captain America doesn't hesitate to kill the enemies. However this movie is set in World War II so this is expected.

A man is shot and you see a splurt of blood.

There are lengthy fight sequences featuring kicks and punches with sound effects of crunching bones as well as scenes of gunfire in which people are killed. But the movie is mostly without excessive bloodshed.

Several characters are shot, some with a high powered energy weapon that vaporizes them. One man bites a cyanide pill, and is seen foaming at the mouth before he dies. A brief shot of someone's neck being snapped. People thrown from great heights.

A man flies into a plane propeller, and is cut up. A fair amount of blood.

A lot of fisticuffs, gun fights and explosions in all of the action - far too many to detail here.

Hell is used at least 12 times throughout the movie.

Captain America says "Who the hell are you" twice.

One muffled use of "shit".

Senator says "Jesus. Give that kid a sandwich"

"Son of a bitch" is said in an admiring way.

Ass is said once.

"God" is used as an exclamation three times.

Not gratuitous cursing and probably less than average for an action movie.

There are a few uses of Damn.

9 uses of hell, 2 uses of damn, 1 use of ass, 1 use of bitch.

A man is shown smoking a cigar.

Beer and liquor drinking in a bar.

The movie takes place in the the 1940's, and show nazi symbols and other stuff that might offend certain people.

Typical war movie action sequences. However it's not as grisly as most war movies. No open wounds, no body parts or people choking on blood. This movie is not gritty or visceral in its portrayal of violence.

A few people are disintegrated with an energy weapon like a rifle.
