  • I watched this show every week since it debuted and I was always waiting to see if this week there would be opening credits instead of barely ten seconds of music, a background, and the title "In Justice".

Overall, I really like the show. It was serious, but had its funny moments. The show had a great premise, it wasn't really like other crime dramas you see on television. Kyle MacLachlan and Jason O'Mara are excellent actors and the supporting cast is not bad either.

It has not been on for the past couple of weeks, probably because its rating were not very good. It really is a good show and more people should watch it. I know that I would like to see it stay on the air, at least for the rest of the season, though I would like it to go on longer.
  • I started watching this show from it's premiere and I have to say...it kept me coming back for more. I tuned in every week and enjoyed every show... There is so much growth possible for the characters with regards to back-stories...it could keep us watching for quite some time. This is a show that I hope doesn't get lost in the shuffle when it comes time to decide what stays on the line-up or what goes.... In a couple of eppy's...you see that David Swain (Kyle M) does actually have a heart and there is some depth to him. And I'm completely intrigued about Charles Conti's full history too. I think there's a possibility of this show becoming the new water cooler chat...
  • David Swain (Kyle MacLachlan) is a successful lawyer with political aspirations and he decides to form an organization called the National Justice Project that sets out to help those who were wrongfully convicted. Charles Conti (Jason O'Mara) a former cop, is the one who investigates all of the cases along with some other volunteers. And once he has enough evidence that proves the person's innocence he gives it to Swain who in turn gets them out and hogs all the glory. Also staring Constance Zimmer and Marisol Nichols.

It lasted 13 episodes. There was some complaints that it was a left wing propaganda where all criminals are just falsely accused. The story lines were definitely left leaning, and you've lost half the audience already. Otherwise, it's a good legal procedural show.
  • Here's a well done crime drama that focuses not on the primary victims of crime but on the secondary victims, those wrongly convicted. Jason O'Mara's emotionally driven investigative personality is what drives the show but Kyle MacLachlan's gonzo rich lawyer headline seeking eccentric character makes the show work. There are only two actors who could do this part and spin an entire show, Kyle MacLachlan and Oliver Platt. Either one is perfect casting. Not only do we get a tightly focused message here, we get a tightly focused message that's also very entertaining. The stories are easy to wrap your head around because they all begin with the ultimate underdog, someone who's situation appears hopeless. Who can't root for an underdog? IN JUSTICE is not just another crime drama, it's a crime drama with a heart, a message, and a sense of truth.
  • The best new series to come out of the US since 'The West Wing', and it gets cancelled immediately! The story lines are universally intelligent and thought-provoking and the characters multi-dimensional; what's more, the assembled talent of the cast is so beautifully balanced on the knife-edge between serious and comic that the show is constantly throwing up surprises. In short, there's nothing at all predictable about it, which is a joy in itself.

It's also a pleasure to have good strong female characters (Brianna, Sonia and Charlotte) and the occasional weak male (John). There's a whole lot more I would have liked to learn about these people, and I feel cheated of the chance to watch them develop and interact further. Let's hope a DVD release will not be too far away.

I came across this show by chance in the beginning of 2006 and was totally enthralled by its premise. I looked forward each week to seeing a new episode. I also told all of my family and friends to tune in. They did and they loved it also. When I went to watch it one week, all of a sudden it wasn't listed anymore. I was extremely disappointed. I assumed it wouldn't start a new season until this September. Never hearing about it for months, anywhere, I decided to find out what was going on and came to this site. I read that it had been canceled. I couldn't believe it. We need more shows like this one, that teach people to care and to stand up for injustices that go on every day in this world. Good values to instill through uplifting behavior by good, giving and dedicated human beings. Please, somehow, let us try to bring it back.
  • I have my fingers crossed that there is more of this series to come next season because it is one of the BEST feel-good television shows to come in a long time!! It's so satisfying for the soul and have great quirky characters, the handsome hard-nosed hero, brewing sexual tension and awesome writing for the tear-jerking genre it fits.

With all the crime-fighting/crime-scene dramas there are out there, this one uses a lot of the same props but with the added component of rocking your heart and tear ducts with its compelling characters and story plots.

I love it. Please keep this series coming next season.

    Awesome
I loved this show I watched it all the time. I love how in this show it doesn't always work out in the end. In one episode the real criminal got away and the innocent man was killed by the government. It seems so real when your watching it and the writers make believable plots with likable characters. I love how this show mostly focuses on the problem of finding out who did the crime but you do see little bits of their personal life mixed into it. Like on of the women work there because her brother was killed because he was found guilty and she believes he wasn't and doesn't want it to happen to anyone else. I love how they lay out clues and let you try to figure it out but it's never the first person you think it is. I love mysteries and this show is a great one.
  • An excellent series would love to see more its a pleasure to watch a good quality show with no sex and vile language contaminating the plot line. In my personal opinion well written, compassionate and the actors play their parts well. As riveting and entertaining as the CSI series (which I love). CONGRATULATIONS to all involved! We never miss an episode! Being a supporter of the death penalty in the past it really had me thinking about the ramifications an imperfect justice system can have and I had to reconsider a once staunch standpoint. Each person deserves the benefit of the doubt and the show I believe demonstrates that. The moral of the story is always good even when challenging previous notions and even when sad it is definitely a movie the whole family can watch without cringing. The plots are also well developed and enjoyable to follow as it keeps you thinking and challenges superficial judgements without proper investigation.
  • This is an enjoyable show that raises some interesting questions not typically considered by primetime TV.

It has been well established that the legal system often convicts innocent people. This show dramatizes the complexity of how that happens. We might even get some ideas about how to make things better! Insights are good things....

There are definite comedic points in the interplay of the ex-cop team leader and the politico head of the project, the team leader and the women.

At times, the forensic examinations reveal really interesting tidbits that are very clever.

It is fun to watch this show, and given some more time, the characterizations will get better. Good stuff to be aware of.

    Enjoy!

This is a fantastic show what were they thinking bring it back. I know I will watch it.Why do the TV stations always take off the good shows and leave on the crappy ones like wife swap please that is what i call a totally unnecessary show Like we really care about some pirate woman trading places with someone Else'wife get real. Now a days it is good to know that our incarcerated are at least being protected there are many cases where someone has been wrongly accused. From personnel experience I have seen this first hand and know that there are times inmates need someone to step in and help them especially when there is no family to help them
  • I have seen all the episodes since Feb 17th, and I thought this series was great. This is not a stereotypical series that promotes and idealizes the justice system. Although our justice system was created with the best of intentions, there is room for error, just like everything else. Nothing is perfect and this series shows those imperfections that can happen within our justice system. It makes the public think. I also liked the fact that not every episode has a happily ever after, that just because someone is innocent, they go free. That is real life. Sometimes innocent people go to jail. Anyway, this series showed what the jury believed and then try to disprove it because they believe the person in prison is innocent. Although the acting wasn't always the greatest, I thought the premise was excellent.

I quite enjoy this series and look forward to it weekly. We all know there are many types of injustice ,sometimes just reading the evidence incorrectly, not having all the evidence or even policemen who want to solve the case in a hurry as they are being pressured from "above" I do know these stories are completely fictitious but keep them coming.

The actors are good and the story lines are very good. I do not really know any of the actors but really like the personalities the two leading actors portray. I even like the little devil that always tell lies find him quite amusing but feel sorry for his partner. I personally believe this series can last several years. It is not one of those really violent shows.
  • Warning: Spoilers
What is it that makes a show great?

To me, it is about the characters, the chemistry between them, and how 'real' they are. In Justice has well developed characters that have great chemistry between them(Conti and Swain, John and Brianna, even Conti and Sonya)and yes, they are very complex and very real.

To me, it is about the mood and the atmosphere; the music, the lighting, the set, the dialog, etc. In Justice has mastered both.I especially like how it is able to combine drama, procedural, investigative, and comic relief all in one hour and how it can get from funny to sad or serious in split seconds. I also like how this show uses music to its advantage.

Then again, to me, it is also about predictability. A great show is NOT predictable. Sure, it must deliver on its promise but after a while that gets boring and people stop watching it. As human beings, we are both driven by and attracted to challenge...and we are also moved by and attracted to people or causes through tragedy. Last night, In Justice dealt with a very real, human, and uncomfortable 'loss' for the first time when they lost the case. Not only did the actors do an amazing job emotionally, but that episode proved that this show is serious, worth while, and certainly not afraid to deal with the underbellies of very controversial topics (capital punishment, religion, political agenda).

In Justice is a great show. As long as it keeps to its promise, but at the same time be real to real life...it will continue to extend itself to my morning water-cooler discussions.

I do hope more people catch on to it and that ABC is willing to take it to next season.
  • Three cheers for the producers of injustices - Our family knows firsthand the need for more shows and documentaries highlighting the injustices that occur within our legal system. It's unfortunate that the general public doesn't understand nor do they seem to want to believe that innocent people can and do go to jail everyday for crimes they didn't commit. More shows like INJUSTICE can help to educate the public. Shows like CSI and all the Law & Orders have helped to educate the public what is done to curtail crime and put criminals behind bars and to demystify the glory of the DA's office. Too many legal officials go to any lengths to close cases without proper investigation and as a result more and more innocent people are finding themselves behind bars and their lives and the lives of their families ruined..
  • Jason O'Mara and Kyle McLachlan are two good actors and the premise sounds interesting. Unfortunately, the show looks like a sitcom.

Was it shot on video? It sure looked like it.

In any case, that and the sitcom-style 5-second main title and what I read on this site which made it sound like the music was a pretext for the promotion of young artists and they lost me quickly.

It looks like it's doing badly in the ratings, which is not surprising.

It won't be a big loss and hopefully everyone will forget that McLachlan and O'Mara were even involved in it and they will get bigger and better opportunities elsewhere.
  • The first show I watched all the way through was February 17th. Kyle MacLachlan was hardly recognizable since the last thing I saw him in was "Blue Velvet" and he was 20 years younger. I had to actually check it out to make sure it was Kyle. This ending surprised me and left me talking to myself. It was not a normal Hollywood ending where the innocent victim was saved in the last two minutes of the show. We are led to believe the black man, although convicted for a fire and murder 8 years earlier, might be innocent, we see he still got the needle. Such a show could backfire, and cause the American justice system a new set of problems to deal with. Not a show I would give a high rating to.
  • I have watched In Justice since it aired and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every episode until the February 17, 2006 episode. I thought the whole show was saving the people who was wrongly convicted. If any episode worth saving an In Justed person this one was it. I think this episode would have made this show. Many people probably would have talked about this particular episode and show if this episode had turned out the way everyone and I do mean everyone wanted it too. I don't know why the show went with this ending but I think it was the wrong one. I thought shows was suppose to go forward to try to increase there audience but this episode I think made a step backward.
