Goodbye 30 Minutes of My Sunday Night
Another FOX comedy. But the question is, does it have potential? Nowadays, most comedies don't. This show had some laughs, but some snickers. The fake laugh track didn't help much, it just made me not want to laugh. The problem with this show was that all the jokes were rooted in racism, homosexuality, and sex in general. After I watched this show, I watched an episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond." This show had a different approach to comedy, without the racism and sex.
The one thing I did like about this show was how the audience could get into the character's heads. The mention of Mary Tyler Moore was funny, but not much after that.
If this show isn't canceled, the NAACP and GLAAD will be all over it.
And what is this world coming to if a boy is labeled "gay" for liking musicals? In the mean time... let's hope we can find a comedy like "Raymond" or "Friends," that might actually last longer than a year, if that.
