Disney has a way of keeping things in the family as it’s not uncommon for the studio to team up with actors they’ve previously worked with across their various brands. Throughout the Disney branded projects you’ll see many familiar faces crossing over from the worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Animation, and Pixar with the studio often tapping actors who have brought success in past projects to help lead new movies and shows.

“Wicked” composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz is set to receive the Icon Award from the Guild of Music Supervisors.

Schwartz musical credits include “Enchanted,” “Godspell” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Music producer Bonnie Greenberg is set to receive the Guild’s Legacy Award.

"Nightbitch" has a lot going for it, at least in theory. For one thing, the film hails from director Marielle Heller, the filmmaker behind wonderful movies like "The Diary of a Teenage Girl," "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" (my personal favorite of her films so far), and "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood." On top of that, it stars Amy Adams, one of the best performers working today — an actor able to portray both a bubbly Disney princess in "Enchanted" and a solemn, haunted linguist in "Arrival". Then you have the fact that the movie is called "Nightbitch." What a wonderful title! Throw in some genuine female body horror, and you've got yourself a stew, baby!

Sadly, all of these promising details crumble to dust once you sit down and watch the film, which is clumsy, awkward, and saddled with some of the worst voice over narration in recent memory.

Whenever a new Disney animated movie hits, folks are ready for a song from it to be nominated for an Oscar and, more often than not, winning. It’s been that way since the 1990s and has led to some intriguing choices and winners.

Taylor Swift is reigning over Disney+ with the launch of The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) as the platform pays homage to the superstar songstress. The homepage for the streamer unveiled new categories for its library, catered to each era (except for Debut) from Swift’s discography. Among them are Fearless (Disney’s Version), Speak Now (Disney’s Version), Red (Disney’s Version), 1989 (Disney’s Version), Reputation (Disney’s Version), Reputation (Disney’s Version), Love (Disney’s Version), Folklore (Disney’s Version), Evermore (Disney’s Version), and Midnights (Disney’s Version). With the launch of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” on Disney+ on March 14 at 6 p.m. Pt, the megastar is getting a homepage takeover on the streamer. For one day only, the service’s main screen will feature nine curated sets of titles inspired by each of the singer’s eras — including “Fearless” (e.g. “Moana”), “1989” (e.g. “The Little Mermaid”) and “Midnights” (e.g. “Cinderella”).

The Swift takeover of the Disney+ homepage will be worldwide with a few exceptions, including Turkey, where the film will not be available until April 3.
