When the menace known as the Joker emerges from his mysterious past, he wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, the Dark Knight must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.
Along with Anatomy of a Murder (1959), Glory (1989), Crimson Tide (1995), and Independence Day (1996), this is one of only five films whose purely orchestral soundtracks won the Grammy Award for Best Score despite not being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score.

(at around 1h 25 mins) Gordon shuts the heavy iron door as he walks into the interrogation cell to question The Joker. The reflection in the mirror shows the door swinging open again. That means the door was unlocked, and it's much lighter than it looks.
Christian Bale is credited with playing "Bruce Wayne" but not "Batman" in the closing credits.
