    Warning: Spoilers
These moomin films are wonderful! Tranquile and charming yet true to the sometimes sinister moods of the book. The barren landscape and the delicate dolls satisfy me as the ardent moominfan that I am. The voices too are wonderful! I remember the time when I could speak a little Russian many years ago, how reading aloud poems is a well known art in Russia. The film is as far as I can follow rather true to the book - about the comet. Enjoyable is especially the meeting with the scientist, the dried-out sea and the dance in the forest. I also adore the sometimes strange, sometimes funny music. I only miss the drama of moomin meeting his girlfriend (Snore-Miss? I don't know her English name). I would so love to own a DVD-version, maybe with some language and subtitle options. Why isn't that possible?
