Five friends with big egos and slightly arrogant attitudes are the proprietors of an Irish pub in Philadelphia.
Each episode ends with the RCG production logo (which are the combined first initials of Rob, Charlie, and Glenn) and the actors pictured in hoodies with a sound clip played backwards: "for playing this forward." At the end of the first season finale "Charlie Gets Molested", the message had an echo: "Is it brown? Is it brown? Good work. Is it brown? Is it brown? Is it brown? Good work."
All righty. Uh... You, you, you, you, and you. Come over here.
Dennis Reynolds: All right. Now, the rest of you kids can go with those two losers right there.
Mac: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What the hell's going on over here?
Dennis Reynolds: I'm picking my team.
Dee Reynolds: No. No, you-you can't- you can't...
Dee Reynolds would never be able to be a surrogate without having a child of her own first. All reputable surrogacy agencies in the US require their surrogates to have had at least one full-term, live birth before becoming a surrogate.
The show's RCH production logo (now RCG) features an image of creators/stars Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton wearing hoodies and sunglasses. A sound clip plays backwards over the logo. In season 1 the clip says 'You are stupid for playing this forward' when reversed; in season 2 it says 'Is it brown? Is it brown? Good work. Is it brown? Is it brown?'; in season 3 it says 'Make it brown. Make it brown. Make it brown.' each actor chanting the words.
