Peter North is the undisputed king of the kinetic "money shot", and right behind him (not literally I hope) is Rodney Moore, the self-proclaimed monarch of the more static porno "facial" shot. This lengthy video is a proper introduction to his weird little world.

For about 18 years now, Moore has made a living as an amateur pornographer, carving out a fetish niche that is evidently lucrative. It's not all about the money, however, as in the intro segment he confirms an egomaniacal streak, already evident from his "one-man-show" approach. He's a nerdy looking, unattractive guy, given to wearing Panama or floppy hats, and without bootstrapping his way to self-employment would likely never have been hired in either mainstream or porn cinema.

While other cocksmen are occasionally employed, notably Mandingo at the start of his career back in 1999, Moore is almost always the sex object, his penis extended to an endless array of girls to sample. It's a first-person camera technique (also used by North in his popular DEEP THROAT THIS! series), which Moore stylizes by the use of wide-angle, distorting lenses (dubbed "Rodnievision").

The real gimmick, since the all-sex format is intrinsically boring (after the initial novelty wears off) is role-playing, as the girls pretend to be astounded or shocked at what Rodney asks them to do (yeah, right). The viewer, nudge-nudge, wink-wink, buys into this fakery, and depending on the female performer's beauty and improvisational skills, the result can be sexually arousing.

Not so arousing is the payoff, supposedly the raison d'etre for this nonsense. While North and his peers routinely "deliver the goods" with the highly cinematic fountain effect of ejaculation, Moore's stock in trade is a mechanical, 100% clinical anointment of each willing female subject's face (in tight closeup) with his copious production of semen. It's about as sexy as observing the result of pigeon droppings. Unlike industry boasters like the late John Holmes, he has the proof on videotape if any Guinness book staffers visit (highly unlikely!): ISARB 3 documents his 1000th facial "blast".

Providing a teeny bit of star power, Cytherea guests as blastee #1000 in what amounts to a cameo. Billed as the "goddess of gush" (not p.r. gush but rather a liquid variety), Cytherea insists on spraying Rodney and her two hand maidens in what looked to me like urination but is claimed to be female ejaculation, known in the porn trade as "squirting". Yet another fetish thrown in the mix, as Rodney covers his bases by having another guest, Sandy Simmer, do a brief bondage routine in lieu of getting blasted.

Entire video, including tons of bonus material, runs a whopping 220 minutes, including 13 minutes of worthless "outtakes" (the girls posing for still photos or doing setup scenes over & over). It's called a "movie" on the back of the DVD box, but Moore has never made a film, strictly working in the stag loops genre.

Best vignette has to be archive footage of Laurel Canyon, blastee #500 back in 1999, literally a wrapped-up-in-a box robot delivered to Rodney who he can force to role-play with the use of a remote control device. This 40-minute segment is fun, and ably performed by the talented Ms. Canyon.

Other lengthy segments feature some very attractive women, especially Eve Lawrence. Fortunately Rodney leaves behind several of his other trademark fetishes, namely extremely hairy women (hairy where it counts) and his chubby chaser line.
