Way overdone
"Smokin' Aces" is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. What makes it even worse is that you see a lot of wasted potential. Deep down, I could see that the core - someone being pursued by multiple hit men - could have worked had it been executed clearer and simpler. As it is, it's way overdone - it's style over content. We have that ugly color scheme of all colors looking very dark, rapid editing, and a LOUD soundtrack.

The characters are also ALL repulsive - there's no one that you root for or give a darn about. The movie takes forever to get going as well. The second half of the movie is a bit more successful, because it has some intense action, but it's too little too late. Aside from that, the only thing I liked about the movie was the scene where they played a snatch of the score from "The Good The Bad And The Ugly."
