Well written and acted, shot with a simple yet effective style, "Coma" is a genuinely funny short. In a world where many short films have to aspire to a greater meaning, or to change the world, it's refreshing to see a piece that simply wants to make the audience laugh, and there's nothing wrong with that. Christian White takes center stage as an incredibly selfish boyfriend, who with the most sincere intentions, breaks up with his girlfriend while she's in a coma (which just so happens to be his fault). As far as I know, the film first 'premiered' at Tropfest 2005 and has since done a circuit of festivals, in Australia and overseas. A great dark humor. Check it out somehow!
