...if you're some stuck up nerd or an AFI homo. it's the story of a guy who discovers that his wife had an affair. He finds this little point out conveniently after she dies and he's taking care of what it is you take care of after somebody dies. the poor bastard sets out to find 'the other guy' and the adventures he has on the way. this is like the bastardized version of a hodge-podge of other movies these kids lifted to make their own high brow, Lamelle art-house movie. i saw this at a screening at a film festival and i thank jebus that i didn't pay for it. i thought it was melodramatic, preachy and, worse yet, just plain old boring. if i had to suggest one "man of the house" film from 2005, I would whole heartedly suggest that horrible piece of trash with Tommy Lee Jones and all those over-aged actresses dressed to look like under aged pieces of ass cheerleaders. that sucks too but at least it has the longhorns!
