  • Kenmore Avenue is a suspense thriller about two friends who appear to be being followed at night. One of them thinks they are being pursued and the other doesn't. As the film builds momentum, the possibility and reasons why either could be right or wrong teeter-totters until its climactic ending.

Nunzio Fazio, the writer/director, has a unique vision that he brings successfully to the screen in a very cinematic way. Shot with 2 different POVs, the cinematography combined with the flash pacing, keeps one on the edge of their seat in this tightly woven narrative. The way Fazio positions the camera and transitions between scenes using medium shots and close ups gives one the sense that they are in the film along side the two main characters.

Fazio also does a fine job directing the actors. Their performances are enjoyable and layered with nuances. I HIGHLY recommend this film. Go see it!
  • Kenmore Ave was probably the best short film I've ever seen!

Kenmore Ave intrigued and engaged me from the moment the movie began to the very end.The combination of the film's visual style which was highly atmospheric and sensual, to the excellent caliber of acting and directing, left me wishing the film would continue.Lisa Crosato who plays Danielle was outstanding and extremely nuanced and captivating in her performance. Levani was equally fascinating in his portrayal of Lars. Watching the two together was like watching two very different worlds collide and wobble through to the disturbing ending, which actually caused me to want to see the film again for more clues.Excellent! Two thumbs way up!
  • It was a great pleasure to have had the opportunity to see Kenmore Ave. I must confess that from all the movies that I watched during the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, Kenmore Ave. has to be by far my favorite pick.

Not only were the characters so believable, but the story keep my attention every second. I was sorry when the movie ended, but in retrospect, I realized that the editing and timing was part of the magic that made the film so interesting and enjoyable.

The script is so well written, with the perfect ingredients; the vision of a superb director, excellent cinematography, a brilliant story, and true mastery in the use of light and shadow.

Bravo to a Masterpiece of Cinema!

  • I viewed this film at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Totally captivated I returned again and again…a total of 4 times!

Brilliantly told, this film examines a single night's occurrence from opposite viewpoints of its two main characters. With every screening emerged another perspective, another perception of reality. I'd catch sight of details not observed before, compelling me to return for another screening.

It's a wild ride through the streets of Hollywood. The direction is excellent, the actors incredible. Well photographed and technically exceptional. A short film with a feature length story.
  • I love movies. I see a lot of them.....and when I saw Kenmore Avenue, I knew they had a winner . In this short film by Nunzio Fazio and Lisa Crosato, Lisa also plays opposite Lavani, as one of the leads. The acting is crisp. They are right on the mark, and right from the beginning, totally engaging. This fast paced thriller starts off with a frantic phone call, and a race to aid a friend in trouble. From there, it accelerates into a frenzied car chase around the nighttime streets of Hollywood. Danielli drives the car, yet she is actually being driven by an exasperating Lars, and his outrageous demands. We can feel Danielli's conflict, as she's reluctantly drawn into the vortex of his paranoia - or is it paranoia? She's increasingly agitated by Lars' behavior (as are we) yet, a loyal, worried, helpful, confused, and ultimately exasperated friend she remains. The acting is superb. The talented Ms. Crosato, who gives one

powerful performance, is an actress to keep your eye on. Both she and Lavani , give convincing and expert portrayals of friends on the edge of madness. What to believe? Is this threat real? The last scene: Daylight. The pace slows to a virtual standstill. You're able to breath now. The camera glides along, slow and dreamy towards an ending which serves to only deepen the mystery.
  • Kenmore Avenue is one of the most fascinating films I have ever seen.

This Psychological thriller kept me sitting on the edge of my chair. Not only does it deal with issues that are mind-boggling to the average viewer, but it surpasses the imagination with realistic scenarios.

It sent chills going up the back of my spine. Now and then, I had to stop and catch my breath. I just had to realize that I would be holding it again, only to find relief in the fact that another scene would appear bringing me back to another state of consciousness.

I can only say that everyone should see this film . You will not be disappointed!
  • "Kenmore Avenue" holds you from beginning to end with its fast pace and intrigue. Director, Nunzio Fazio keeps you on the edge of your seat as he takes you on a wild ride through Hollywood with characters Lars and Danielle. He masterfully directs the camera putting the audience right in the center of this fast paced psychological thriller. As I watched this film I kept feeling I was in the car with them. I was fascinated by the way he craft fully switches our POV between interior delusion and exterior flight. Lisa Crosato is compelling as she tries to understand and help her ex-lover in the volatile circumstances they find themselves in. The seamless edgy editing of Ed Marx, contributes greatly to Nunzio's cinematic vision. This well told story is a great example of cutting edge film-making on a shoestring budget. I was riveted to the screen. Every camera shot was visually interesting. I wholeheartedly recommend that you see this film.
  • I saw Kenmore Avenue at its world premiere at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood. It was part of The Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. I loved the film and was riveted from start to finish. The storyline kept me on pins and needles. The quality of the film made me feel like I was watching a short feature. In actual fact, I was. I really liked the story and I thought the casting was exceptional. The pacing was great and the action built from beginning to end. All in all, Kenmore Avenue was my favorite film of the festival and I look forward to seeing future films by Nunzio Fazio. Go see this film - I highly recommend it.
  • Okay, so i think that the main guy was really out to kill the main girl and that's why the black truck was following them.who ever was in the black truck knew that the girl knew something that could get them all in trouble. so they followed the main guy because he could get to her with out any suspicion. so then just when you think he's gone and out of harms way, she ends up dead. if you notice, she does not see the black truck pull out after her. it follows her because the main guy is already waiting for her when she gets home and the black truck wants to make sure that he knocks her off before she opens her mouth. the taxi he took dropped him off at her place and when she arrived home - still being followed by the black truck - he was lurking in the shadows. the black truck waits outside for him, he kills her, meets the black truck, gets whisked away to a safe place where no one knows anything. NOW WILL THE DIRECTOR PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HE WAS REALLY THINKING??????
  • I watched this film with an open mind with little synopsis beforehand. I have to say that I loved the suspense of this movie, which equates to 2 thumbs up. I felt a little Hitchcock build up. You really don't know what relationship the two leads had in the beginning, but it developed nicely. Which bought wonder and curiosity. In the end I felt compassion for both.It came together for me. She seemed to be unsure of his paranoia but was not closed completely down to his ways, as disturbing as they were, nicely done. He played paranoia wonderfully, (Ive known people like that). The end shocked me. But very well done. Technically all aspects cinematography, sound etc. were up to snuff. There was a scene in the restaurant where in his paranoid state others were looking at him so he thought but the camera reflected his point of view , jagged and rough out of control!, My hats off to those responsible for those effects. The writing was superior as well as the acting. I believe the entire crew and cast had the chemistry to pull off a great film like this.

I have heard many good thing about that movie. It's very well directed. For the short movie that was even more than very good. I think that Actors also did their best to make thriller more Amazing for everybody who watches the film. "Title says it all. "Kenmore ave" Also it is very "earcatching" I can't imagine that movie without main characters of it as:Lars-Levan Uchaneishvili (Levani) and Danielle- Lisa Crosato. In my own opinion more movies like that should be filmed. That's exactly what people are looking for. For the first time I saw watched the trailer I was sure that It will be an excellent piece of a psychological thriller. I Give 10 out of 10.

Intense, well thought-out, SICK film. The director has a definite genius about him. The film takes you on a ride that never really lets you go. When the film is over you wish you were back on the ride all over again. I definitely suggest you see it at least twice. Maybe three times. Yeah, three times at least. It leaves you thinking. It leaves you guessing. This would actually make a great feature. I recommend Kenmore Avenue to everyone out there. I am enthusiastic to see more of Fazio's work. He seems to be an actor's director. My favorite thing about Kenmore Avenue is the ending. It's one of those twisted endings that everybody loves. Pay attention to the subtle cues in the film!
  • I watched this film in New York City. Loved it. Every time I thought I was on the right track, it took another turn. The film both amused me, and at the same time kept me in suspense. The lead, played by Lisa Crosato, carried the strength of the movie. Her performance was riveting. Levani Outchaneichvili (male lead) was equally as compelling to watch. Is he paranoid or is he on the run? Are they after him or her?

Well written and directed. Great action sequences. It is obvious, the lead actress is really driving in these car chases. A real film, not a video. The excitement of a Hollywood Studio Movie.
  • Kenmore Avenue changed my life! It sure did. It opened up a new way that I look at short films. Excellent film, just excellent. I wish there were more than ten stars I could give it. If there were twelve stars, I'd give it twelve. If there were a hundred, I'd give it a hundred. If there were a thousand... Fazio creates a world so rich and complex and engrossing that I never knew to be possible in shorts. Every character is dynamic as each character's dialogue just crackles off the page. There is so much detail in this film. The shot selection, the locations, the transitions, even the minor characters are compelling. Kenmore Avenue is like a painting, that everyone should study, over and over again. Fazio, please make this into a feature. You have to do it!!! Do it for your fans. Please!!!
  • This short but very interesting thriller kept me interested and wondering what was really going on. I liked the surprise ending that left it up to the viewer to come to their own conclusion. Well done. At first I thought Lars was just paranoid, but when I saw the ending I was no longer sure. I think the plot was well thought out and well written. It kept you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happened next. It would be great as a longer film with more twists added, but it was great. I just felt sad for Lar's friend who tried to help him. It was very interesting how he contacted her after he was safely out of the country and she was found dead on her couch which leads me to believe they were being followed after all.
