A good collection, but room for improvement.

"Bloodbath: Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches" takes a look at the greatest steel cage matches of all time, hosted by Jonathan Coachman. All the classics are on this 2-disc, 5 1/2 hour collection. Benoit/Angle, Austin/McMahon, Hart vs. Hart, they're all there.

The collection features twenty of the greatest cage matches of the all time, including nine in their entirety. The DVD is all matches. What could have made this all the more better is more inside on the steel cage. There is a small background of the match-at-hand before each match but that is all the inside we get. It could have made it more of a great buy would be opinions from wrestlers who have been in steel cages and what they get out of it and the exhilaration that wrestlers get from some the greatest stunts performed. It would be great to hear what Jimmy Snuka thought of flying from the top of the cage in the middle of Madison Square Garden onto a prone Bob Backlund.

What catches my eyes after watching this entire collection is that most of the matches are from WWE. Yes, WWE has had plenty of classic steel cage clashes. Though such promotions as WCW, NWA and even ECW had their major cage matches. I believe that some of the War Games matches from the NWA and WCW of old should have made this DVD. Matches featured from outside WWE include Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Andersons, Magnum TA vs. Tully Blanchard and Ric Flair vs. Ronnie Garvin.
