Pregnant forensic psychologist Lydie Crane is hired to learn the truth behind the case of 16-year-old Stephanie Daley, who is accused of concealing her pregnancy and murdering her infant.
When Stephanie has her beeping egg, she and her family attend church. The pulpit is is decorated with red fabric, indicating that it was Pentecost Sunday, seven weeks after Easter, between May 10 an June 13 (depending on the year). Pentecost is the only Sunday in the liturgical calendar that uses red paraments (cloths used to decorate the church). Later, there is an ad for cars offering no payments until April 2005, so the movie likely occurs in 2004, making May 30 Pentecost Sunday.
What if what I believe turns out not to be true?
Lydie Crane: Then stop believing it.
