PG-13 | | Adventure, Family, Fantasy
In a countryside town bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his beloved that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical realm.
This story and another Neil Gaiman work, "The Ocean at the End of the Lane", both mention hearts being cut out and the heart of a star.
A philosopher once asked, "Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?" Pointless, really... "Do the stars gaze back?" Now *that's* a question.
Near the beginning of the movie, there is a wide, rotating shot (from above) of Tristan and Yvaine walking on a road. Near the end of the shot, grass is being blown by the helicopter that was used to film this shot.
After the end of the credits, the pirates can be heard growling again.
