  • The more I watch films with her, the more I like this actress; or may I say those actresses. I speak of the young Anaïs Demoustier and the elder Ariane Ascaride. In this film, both star as mother and daughter, whose father and husband - Bernard Lecocq - died after a long illness. We watch here the difficult communication between both of them. The mother surprisingly feels boredom with her daughter, even when they are on vacation in Morocco. The young girl seeks a meaning in her empty life. The Young Anaïs Demoustier is as usual very impressive, as she was in BIRD PEOPLE, UNE NOUVELLE AMIE and RESPIRE. I crave for her performances. I will follow her, for sure. I always like those french movies describing the human behaviour, in such a deep way. Fortunately, there are tons of them. And keep in mind that directors work hard, sometimes years, to achieve the making of THEIR films, engaging their own funds. And most of the time those features are only released in only a few large screens. With no DVD releases nor TV airing, for some of them. Such a shame. Such a pain for them. I admire those heroes. Truly, deeply.
