A novice sleuth is hired by the police after he cons them into thinking he has psychic powers which help solve crimes. With the assistance of his reluctant best friend, the duo take on a series of complicated cases.
Gus often is offered peaches by Shawn. This is a nod to his character "Sam" in Holes (2003).

Unless Henry was secretly a multaimillionaire, there's no way that he could have afforded a home near the beach in Santa Barbara, especially being retired. A house in that area would be worth nearly a million dollars (for a tiny home) and up to $10-15 million for a multi-bedroom dwelling.The taxes alone would make the home unaffordable, especially considering that he is a retired police officer who was not the department chief.
Each time a guest performer sings the theme song, they sing the entire song as opposed the shorter version in normal episodes.
