A rag-tag team of Reno cops are called in to save the day after a terrorist attack disrupts a national police convention in Miami Beach during spring break. Based on the Comedy Central series.
Between members of the main cast and various cameos throughout the movie, all the cameos which were performed at the different tattoo parlors, this movie contains all 11 members of the sketch comedy troupe The State who wrote and starred in the various sketches on their MTV show of the same name.
Deputy Travis Junior:
Reno is a lot like Mayberry on the TV except that everyone's on crystal meth and prostitution's legal.
When Wiegel and Raineesha are talking to Terry on the boardwalk, a muscular body-builder can be seen walking toward the camera. He disappears when the camera cuts, but this is because there is a barely noticeable jump cut there, as done several more times throughout the scene and the movie. The movie is filmed like a reality TV show, where jump cuts like this are done on purpose.
The opening credits only identify the actors by the character names, the opposite of the TV series which credits the actors by their real names.
When the film hit DVD it had an R rated version and an Unrated version, which was not seen in theaters.
