Bester returns to Babylon 5 to stop the flow of Dust, a powerful new drug which can temporarily unlock telepathic powers. But Captain Sheridan and the crew can't risk Bester reading their minds and uncovering their secret Shadow war preparations.

While not a GREAT episode, it DOES feature another appearance by Bester!

Whenever Bester (Walter Koenig) appeared on BABYLON 5, I always felt pretty excited. That&#39;s because he was such a great character--someone you just loved to hate!! His sliminess, smugness and love of all things evil made him a great recurring character on the show. And while this isn&#39;t one of his better episodes, even mediocre Bester is still wonderful! The episode concerns the recent smuggling of &quot;dust&quot; onto the station. Dust is some new drug that can cause both euphoria AND help the user to temporarily tap into the feelings and thoughts of nearby people--making even the average bloke like a temporary telepath!! Unfortunately, the results can be very dangerous and it&#39;s not surprising that Earth Gov is pushing Sheridan to stop its spread. However, when Bester shows, it&#39;s obvious that the concern isn&#39;t just for humanitarian reasons--the Psi Corps don&#39;t want &quot;mundanes&quot; horning in on their territory! In addition to the drug abuse angle, G&#39;Kar is very interested in getting ahold of the drug so he can use it to probe the mind of his enemy, Londo! The episode is pretty well-written and interesting, though I do have to admit it&#39;s not one of the more memorable shows they made.

Dust to Dust

Excellent episode featuring my favorite character on the show, G&#39;kar. Many philosophical questions are here to be pondered, with alternative perspectives compared to what we&#39;re normally shown. Screw Londo though.

Legendary dialogue between G&#39;Kar and Londo acting under the influence (of dust). Seeing that scene, in Mollaris mind, gave me the creeps! That&#39;s why I love this show so much.
