Story-wise, this was the first one I saw that wasn't anything to rave about. It was okay; a little different in that it was a straight crime story, almost like an old film-noir from the 1940s, but no fascinating villain character that usually makes these episodes fun. It's basically three cops telling their version of what went down at a sting that went awry. One of the cops, the obnoxious and anti-Batman guy, "Harvey Bullock," is the liar of the three. One annoying PC aspect: the bravest, strongest cop, of course, is the female one. Puh-leeze, that tougher- than males-cop has been so unrealistically overdone every since "Charlie's Angels." Here, the woman literally a throws a big guy across a room. Sorry, it doesn't happen
Nonetheless, the thing that makes this episode worth watching is the stunning art work. If ever a cartoon from a comic book ever came to life in animation, this series is it and this episode gives the best example I've seen. The drawings, especially the facial close-ups, look like a big version of something straight out of a Batman comic. Unlike other drawings I've seen (the animated Superman series, for instance), the artists here truly make you think you are looking at a comic book that has come to life
