- TriviaThis is the last episode to feature a battle between Colonial Vipers and Cylon Raiders until the final episode of the series.
- GoofsRichard Hatch is the only one who's left-handed. When he fires the lasers of his Viper, he uses his left thumb. During the boraton run on the landing bay, all three thumbs used to fire are Richard Hatch's and not Anne Lockhart's nor Dirk Benedict's.
- Quotes
Lieutenant Athena: Hey, Boomer, what are you doing in the Rejuvenation Centre? I thought Blue Squardron was on alert.
Lieutenant Boomer: Well, even Blue Squadron pilots get a furlon once in a while. Now all I have to do for the next 24 centares is relax.
Boxey: Wanna play compartment billyarks with me? I'm pretty good.
Lieutenant Boomer: Oh? You're on. And if you beat me, I got a surprise for you.
Boxey: It's a mushie.
Lieutenant Boomer: How's a guy keep a secret around here?
Boxey: You can't with Muffy. I just trained him to sniff out mushies.

However much you cheer for the old classic, for everything here that (gloriously) works, two things (cringe-worthily) don't. But cheer you do, in awe of the magnificence.
It struck me while watching that there is one thing you gotta understand. If you are fortunate enough to have a vivid imagination, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA can be the spark that ignites a whole new concept for you. You could mentally correct the images and more or less see what really needed to be seen. I wouldn't say I am that fortunate, but I at least go a way in that direction. And anything spurred on by this marvelous awesome concept is just bound to be great!
Best thing about this episode (for me) is that Maren Jensen is fully present, at long last, once more. I was working on a theory here these past few episodes: Maren is injured, look, she's either absent, or (as Athena) sitting down. So, it is good to see her and know she is alive and well after all. The most underemployed actress prior to Marliece Andrada of BAYWATCH and Lisa Stahl of BAYWATCH NIGHTS.
