    Robot planet

The Futurama episode "Fear of a Bot Planet" is an enjoyable exploration of the show's unique blend of humor, sci-fi world-building, and social commentary. In this episode, the Planet Express crew embarks on a delivery to a planet inhabited entirely by robots, where Bender inadvertently becomes a robot messiah while Fry and Leela struggle to blend in as humans in disguise.

The premise is clever and leads to some memorable moments, including the bot society's satirical take on prejudice and its nonsensical hatred for humans. Bender's antics as a reluctant hero provide the comedic highlight, with his arrogance and opportunism on full display. The episode also features some sharp writing, particularly in its jabs at blind obedience and propaganda.

However, while the episode is entertaining, it doesn't reach the heights of Futurama's strongest outings. The plot feels a bit rushed, and some of the jokes don't land as well as others. The humor leans heavily on the robots' quirks, which, while funny, can feel a bit repetitive.

Overall, "Fear of a Bot Planet" is a solid episode that showcases the creativity and humor Futurama is known for, even if it doesn't quite reach the show's.

Less memorable, but still really good!

(Ranking every episode of Futurama #5) I almost gave this episode an 8/10, because it is very funny and a cool idea that is very enjoyable to watch, but I had to re-watch this episode to review it, keep in mind I have watched seasons 1-4 of Futurama multiple times, and I can normally remember what happens and the funny parts in the episode off the top of my head, but this episode is pretty forgettable. In this episode, Fry and Leela disguise themselves as robots to find Bender after he doesn't return from a delivery on a robot planet, only to learn that he has became popular. It is a very good plot and I wish I remembered more of this so I could rate it an 8. Great episode.

Got Milk? then you're a human and must be killed

I think this is the funniest episode yet. I was laughing pretty much nonstop the whole time and couldn't stop smiling.

Some of the gags are so clever. Everything is based in robot humour and it's hilarious to see this absurd anti-human robot society. The jokes are constant.

I vaguely remember this episode but upon rewatch it's just so good.

It also helps to explore the relationship that Fry and Leela have with Bender, the hateful robot with the heart of gold.

    • Trivia
The planet Chapek 9 is named after Karel Capek who (or his brother, according to interpretation) is the writer who coined the word "robot" in 1920.
    • Goofs
In the final scene on-board the ship when viewing the stars it appears that Fry and Lela are moving forward, and so is Bender, but they are facing each other which makes this impossible.
    • Quotes

Robot Guard #1: Be you robot or human?

      Leela: Robot, we be.

Fry: Yep, just two robots out roboting it up.

Robot Guard #2: Administer the test.

Robot Guard #1: Which of the following would you prefer? A. a puppy; B. a flower from your sweetie; or C. a large, properly formatted data file? Choose!

[Fry and Leela discuss in whispers]

Fry: Is the puppy mechanical in any way?

Robot Guard #1: No. It is the bad kind of puppy.

Leela: Then we'll go with that data file.

      Robot Guard #1: Correct.

Robot Guard #2: The flower would have also been acceptable.

Robot Guard #1: You may pass.
