Featured reviews
The premise is clever and leads to some memorable moments, including the bot society's satirical take on prejudice and its nonsensical hatred for humans. Bender's antics as a reluctant hero provide the comedic highlight, with his arrogance and opportunism on full display. The episode also features some sharp writing, particularly in its jabs at blind obedience and propaganda.
However, while the episode is entertaining, it doesn't reach the heights of Futurama's strongest outings. The plot feels a bit rushed, and some of the jokes don't land as well as others. The humor leans heavily on the robots' quirks, which, while funny, can feel a bit repetitive.
Overall, "Fear of a Bot Planet" is a solid episode that showcases the creativity and humor Futurama is known for, even if it doesn't quite reach the show's.
Some of the gags are so clever. Everything is based in robot humour and it's hilarious to see this absurd anti-human robot society. The jokes are constant.
I vaguely remember this episode but upon rewatch it's just so good.
It also helps to explore the relationship that Fry and Leela have with Bender, the hateful robot with the heart of gold.

- TriviaThe planet Chapek 9 is named after Karel Capek who (or his brother, according to interpretation) is the writer who coined the word "robot" in 1920.
- GoofsIn the final scene on-board the ship when viewing the stars it appears that Fry and Lela are moving forward, and so is Bender, but they are facing each other which makes this impossible.
- Quotes
Robot Guard #1: Be you robot or human?
Leela: Robot, we be.
Fry: Yep, just two robots out roboting it up.
Robot Guard #2: Administer the test.
Robot Guard #1: Which of the following would you prefer? A. a puppy; B. a flower from your sweetie; or C. a large, properly formatted data file? Choose!
[Fry and Leela discuss in whispers]
Fry: Is the puppy mechanical in any way?
Robot Guard #1: No. It is the bad kind of puppy.
Leela: Then we'll go with that data file.
Robot Guard #1: Correct.
Robot Guard #2: The flower would have also been acceptable.
Robot Guard #1: You may pass.
