The same large gear mounted on a shaft is seen in many episodes, makes its first appearance inside an aircraft (Ivy Curtain). In one episode ("Summit Meeting" in the circle gallery) it's even painted in bright colours and pops up both outside and inside the gallery.

Goofs
When the DC-3 at the beginning of the episode is in the rainstorm, the close-up of the cockpit shows the rain cascading down the fuselage. At an airspeed of 200 mph or so the rain would be pushed backwards along the fuselage.
