Riding Around Warner's Backlot
Young farmer Tracy Hunter has killed his big-time creditor Turnbull and now Marshal Troop has to put a posse together to catch the fleeing culprit. Trouble is the ornery posse is more interested in lynching than in justice.

Pretty good episode. Pernell Roberts really shines as a tough, sardonic observer, showing why he was soon in a lead role on Bonanza. Pudgy Tol Avery does his usual slippery dude character, while pretty Jean Allison has a surprise for us. Somehow, the tensions between posse members that should carry the show don't gel as well as they should, and I'm not sure why. But we do get some suspense as Johnny tries to ride to the rescue. The premise may not be new, but the interest is built in.
