The Evil Manta

What a wonderful episode. The animation is beautiful, and the dialogue, especially that of the villain the Evil Manta, is great. I adore the song in Harmony it is such an uplifting catchy song, and Jodi Benson, who is such a talented singing actress, sang it with such energy and enthusiasm, the whole thing is well worth seeing just for that particular song. However, there is another reason why I love this episode so much, is because my favourite "Little Mermaid" villain The Evil Manta is in it. The Evil Manta is such a creepy and convincing villain, his laugh is enough to give you goosebumps, and who'd better to do it than the wonderful, severely underrated Tim Curry? It was a superb vocal performance, scary sounding and malevolent. Curry was perfect voicing him, and sorry guys but absolutely nobody else could voice The Evil Manta better than Curry did. He gets the nickname of "the god of voice acting" in my eyes, though Tony Jay was great, and never got the recognition he deserved either. All in all, brilliant! 10/10 Bethany Cox
