This story, "The Wish Child" bears a very similar story line to The Golden Child (1986), which would premiere a couple of months after this was originally aired. Both were produced by Paramount. James Hong also appeared in both.

Goofs
If a watch crystal were powerful enough to work as a magnifying glass it would be useless as a watch crystal.
