-The amphibious aircraft from Chalk's Ocean Airways seen in the end of the episode with registration N2969 crashed on December 19 2005 (Flight 101) killing everyone aboard. The same plane was featured at the end of the Miami Vice pilot.
The arms dealer is asked for "Mossberg 870" shotguns. In fact, Mossberg has never made a model number "870" as all of their models are in the 500s. Remington Arms makes a Model 870 which is likely what the writers meant, but weren't able to use for some reason.
