The sun in the Downworld disappears when Keith accidentally breaks Jay's telescope in the Upworld. The trio find a gypsy camp in the Downworld and hope their inventor, Galileo, can fix the object.

When Jay's telescope is fixed in the Downworld, his and Flash's promise that Galileo will be able to see "the promised land" is fulfilled. Their view through the telescope shows a red lighthouse on a rocky point. A shot of the Point Atkinson Lighthouse in West Vancouver, British Columbia, was used for this moment. (In the real world, since the telescope viewing scene was filmed at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard on the South side of Richmond, British Columbia, the lighthouse wouldn't have been visible to them. The Shipyard and the Lighthouse are more than 30 miles apart, separated by terrain, city, and Vancouver International Airport.)
