The scene outside of Jay's 'kangaroo court' trial in the Downworld was shot at the East front of the Art Gallery building, West Georgia Street at Howe Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. Snow-capped mountains were matted in for the shot, towering above the building (no such mountains are actually there), and the façade was strewn with vines and other vegetation, giving the impression of overgrowth and neglect.
