Actress Judy Tyler (who played Cherie Chi-Chi), had just finished making a movie with Elvis Presley called "Jailhouse Rock. Tyler (24), her husband Gregory Lafayette (19) and another passenger were killed on U.S. Route 287 near Rock River, Wyoming on July 3, 1957. The accident so traumatized Elvis that he could never watch "Jailhouse Rock".
