| exact filming location and wonderful memories of it.
first this was NOT filmed in Amity, Ohio. it was filmed in the Kinsman, and outside Orangeville, Ohio area (primary filming @ Kinsman.) they also use the octagon house of Clarence Darrow, famous American lawyer having it be the house where Susan Oliver's character is staying. i was raised in this area and recall my older sister and her girlfriend's just being in nirvana with Martin Milner and George Maharis being around. we little kids were in love with the Corvette (i drive a Porsche but still love the Corvette.) in this episode, Oliver's character's home she at first is hesitant to go to, between Kinsman and Orangeville 9 miles away, was at that time abandoned, very rundown. we kids looked upon it as haunted. it was very popular after the film crew left, was almost a sacred site for the teenage girls and still the haunted place for us little kids. gone now, only a large field, many of us still recall when we drive by, and it was such a 'kick' to buy the DVD series and go right to that episode to see the old town, the way it was, come alive. i have no doubt that many in this country who had the honor of being 'in' this show, will find the same joy of seeing 'the way it used to be.' get series and enjoy, maybe even see your old home area as you remember.!!
