Two judges and two attorneys have been murdered, with a book about disbarment procedures found nearby. The detectives find that the killer is a disbarred attorney's son, who is executing those he blames for destroying his father.

I enjoyed this episode but the premise of a lawyer&#39;s son leaving a law book behind at every killing was ludicrous. The book had a copyright date that indicated his father&#39;s year of disbarment. If you were a killer with even a partial education in the finer points of law and evidence, why would you deliberately leave behind a book that points to your motive and by process of elimination, also your identity? A clever killer leaves no trace behind and nothing in Michael Burn&#39;s character suggests he was foolish or motivated by the vanity of extracting justice at the price of his own freedom. Apart from this, it was a well done story and I felt far more sympathy for the killer than the victims who were not especially likeable. Streets of San Francisco excels at portraying complicated villains in nuanced roles. That&#39;s how they successfully take a familiar story and make it fresh. The fine quality actors ensure a quality performance pretty much every episode.<br/><br/>This season shows Inspector Keller taking yet another bullet wound which has me question: are people drawn into violence always so accurate in taking shots at cops? It&#39;s not as if they get a lot of practice, as the cops do. I&#39;d think it more likely they misfire more than they succeed. On this show, they&#39;re pretty accurate. Enjoy the banter between Stone and Keller which elevates every episode and is the biggest attraction of this series.

Judgment Day

Judgment Day is another murder mystery aka 1970&#39;s style! Well just like the 70&#39;s, there is a mysterious murder who kills a judge. The movie murder mystery turns into a cop show with Keller and Stone doing the drudge work of looking at evidence, potential motives, going threw list of university law students and chasing down leads. Interesting to watch the murders mystery genera mix with investigative genera. I like the plot twist of Stone being a judge. Directed well, acted, well with a good mix two old genera&#39;s creating a new story lines. You will watch Judgment Day tell the end. But what&#39;s with Keller seems to kill a suspect every second show. Hey all in the action and drama of the police genera! 7 stars.

A man seeks murderous revenge on judges and attorneys who were responsible for his lawyer father&#39;s disbarment.<br/><br/>A good episode, Michael Burns (with mustache) plays the killer, his 3rd and last appearance on the show. Some humor is supplied when Stone poses as a judge who is on the list of potential victims. He hears some small claims cases. One of the litigants is played by Gloria LeRoy (Boom Boom Turner on All In The Family). Also Jean Hagen (Singin In The Rain) as a landlady, just one year before she died of cancer, she looks aged and ill here.
