Everything that Mike Clattenburg wanted Trailer Park Boys to be is in this episode. The criminal nature of Ricky & Julian, Ricky's magnetic attraction to getting shot, Julian's empathy for the residents of the park he calls home, Lahey's dedication to his desire to being law enforcement, and of course, marijuana before it was legalized.
In this episode, Mrs. Peterson tells Julian she has to go in for a day surgery and that he needs to look after her little dog, Sparky. Unfortunately for Julian, he's stuck going to the local DMV and has to hire Ricky to watch over the dog for an hour, where Ricky wants to bake a batch of weed brownies to fund his dope operation and get it started again. However, the dog gets into the weed brownies and eats them, setting off a hilarious chain of events.
I would argue that this is the best episode of the first season, just barely edging out the season finale.
The only drawback to this episode? No Bubbles. He must be down at the mall collecting carts.
