- Two children escape their bickering parents through a portal in the bottom of their swimming pool to a magical land watched over by a kind old woman the children call Aunt T.
- When their parents tell them that they're divorcing, Sport and Jeb Sharewood must now decide with whom they will live. They decide that they would rather live with Aunt T, the woman they met by traveling through a portal at the bottom of their swimming pool; at the other end is an idyllic world where children play and there are few adults. Aunt T is a nice old woman, but Sport is far more reluctant than Jeb to accept her invitation to stay with them.—garykmcd
- The siblings Sport and Jeb Sharewood live with their parents Gloria and Gil that are divorcing and always discussing. They like to be in the swimming pool and one day, they are visited by the boy Whitt, who brings them to visit his Aunt T in a magical land with happy children through a portal in the bottom of the pool. Aunt T invites them to stay, but Sport lies and tells that their parents have resolved their issues and will live together.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Two children are playing by the swimming pool, and their mother is reading a magasine. She is very attractive in a 1960's sort of way, with elegantly styled hair, and slim well fitting pedal pushers. The family home is very grand, with white columns and porches, and a large well landscaped yard. The mother is ignoring the children, and when they try to talk to her, she tells them to quit bothering her.
Their father comes home from work, and he and their mother argue about why she was in town that day, applying for a job as a model. He tells her that her job is to take care of the children. She tells him the children get on her nerves, and she is going to tak a job of modeling if it is offered to her.
The two children are ignored by their bickering parents. They see a young boy in their pool calling them, and they dive in, and when they come up in a nice stream, they find they have traveled to a different place where a nice grandmotherly type "aunt T" teaches them to frost cake, and learn to appreciate doing chores. Their mother calls them back once, but after the parents tell the children they are getting a divorce, the two children jump into their swimming pool and come up in the stream by Aunt T's house. They hear their mother calling them but choose to stay where they are not being fussed at and ignored.
