A grumpy old man with psychic powers that show him how someone will die assists the agents with the hunt for a crazed killer who targets psychics. He also cryptically reveals to Mulder and Scully their own ultimate fates.

If coincidences are just coincidences, why do they feel so contrived?
Bruckman begins describing his own death and he says he sees himself lying naked in a field of red tulips. The shot then fades into a scene of Bruckman's body. However, he's not naked; he's wearing a white T-shirt and briefs. This is due to having to comply with network television's standards and practices regarding nudity as he would not be allowed to be shown fully naked on an FCC-approved television series.
