A young lonely woman takes a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love while encountering a series of offbeat characters along the way.
First film by Wong Kar-Wai not to have cinematographer Christopher Doyle but instead Darius Khondji. Doyle had previously done cinematography on every film by him until this one.
